Gallery: Sefer Torah Dedication

Everyone is welcome to our warm and inviting traditional services. With no membership or reserved seats, our services are open to all.

Our Services

Services at Chabad Jewish Center are open to all Jews regardless of their background or affiliation. Children, adults, singles, couples, young and old feel at home. It is just a great place to pray, be inspired and meet new friends.

No Membership Philosophy

At Chabad we believe that no one should have to pay a membership fee, be registered as a member or pay for a seat, to be able to walk in and sit down in the Synagogue or participate in Jewish life. Our Synagogue is not a club! At our open Synagogue anyone can just walk in, sit down and enjoy a warm and inspiring service.

Children are Welcome

Recognizing that our children are an integral part of our community and our future, we always encourage children of all ages to join our services with special children’s programs that cater for children, making the Synagogue a fun and exciting place where they will be excited to return each week.

Feel at home

At Chabad we have weekly Shabbat (Friday night / Saturday) services. We believe that each individual knows how he or she best communicates with G‑d. At Chabad the language you use or the pace you set for yourself are not of paramount importance. Our traditional services are in Hebrew and English using a Hebrew and English Siddur (prayer book) making it easy to follow in either language. Page numbers are announced continuously so you may always find the place in the prayer book. Connect with the day and with G‑d and with your own soul in whatever personal manner suits you best.

The tunes are old, familiar ones, and they are sung by those of us who know the words and by those of us who can only hum along, with all the gusto befitting the joy of the Shabbat. The casual atmosphere encourages people to hang out, socialize and enjoy discussions and Shabbat food and songs.
